Paul Wayne Altizer, 63, of Riner, Va., passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2010. He was born on November 29, 1946, as the youngest son of Virginia L. Altizer and the late Donnie D. Altizer.

Conrad Henry (Hank) Braun, 71, of Christiansburg, Va., passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2010. He was born on October 17, 1938, in Camden, N.J.,

Robert Ray (Red) Coffman Sr., formerly of Rich Creek, Va., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 31, 2010, from his home at Pheasant Ridge Retirement Village in Roanoke, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on May 17, 1927, in the town of Beelick Knob, W.Va., to the late William Edgar and Effie Moody Coffman.

Myrtle Waddell Durmon, of Pulaski, Va., departed this life on Wednesday, September 1, 2010. She was the daughter of the late Nierce Waddell and Margaret Alley Waddell Anderson.

Dennis Atherton Hawkes, 80, of Blacksburg, Va., loving and devoted husband and father, passed away on Monday, August 30, 2010, surrounded by his family. He is preceded in death by is parents, Wyman and Eliza Hawkes of Berkeley, Mass.

Beulah Marie Harris Johnson, 88, of Narrows, Va., went to Heaven to be with the Lord and to join her husband of 52 years on Monday, August 30, 2010. She was born in Willis, Va., on July 8, 1922, and was the youngest child of the late Giles Ora and Nancy Jane Nester Harris.

God called Iris Jeanette Wills Johnson, 65, of Narrows, Va., to her heavenly home on Wednesday, September 1, 2010. Jeanette was born in Rich Creek, Va., on November 9, 1944, and was the youngest daughter of Dalton Iris Wills and Wanda Tiller Wills.

John L. Munsey, 79, of Dublin, passed away Monday, August 30, 2010 at Pulaski Community Hospital. He was a U. S. Air Force and U. S. Army Veteran.

Steven Murriel (Steve) Sumpter, 68, of Pearisburg, Va., went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 31, 2010, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital. He was born at Pearisburg, Va., on August 16, 1942, the son of the late Wise M. and Bertha June Brown Sumpter.

Mattie Rose Wall was born on Thursday, July 29, 2010, to parents, Jason and Holly Wall and sister, Violet Anne, of Pembroke, Va. Grandparents include Rick and Candy Sadler, of Charlottesville, Va., and Randy and Drema Wall, of Princeton, W.Va.
