Helene Altizer Baugh, 91, of Oakhurst Avenue, Pulaski, Va., passed away at home on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, with her family at her side. She was born in the Back Creek Community of Pulaski County on June 12, 1918, and graduated from Pulaski High School.

William Allen Blackwell, 89, of Blacksburg, Va., departed this life on March 12, 2010. He was born in Fort Worth, Texas on May 17, 1920, to Charles C. Blackwell and Lillie Belle Hartsfield, who preceded him in death.

James Theodore (Nook) Bradley Sr., 83, of Pearisburg, Va., passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Carilion Giles Memorial Hospital in Pearisburg, Va., following a long illness. He was born on July 5, 1926, and was the son of the late Martin and Ruth Bradley of Rich Creek, Va.

Vivian Genalue Andrews Burleson, 79, of Pulaski, Va., passed away on Thursday, March 11, 2010. Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. on Sunday, March 14, 2010, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski, Va.

On Thursday, March 4, 2010, retired Navy LT. Commander Mary Ruth Anderson Cruce, of Christiansburg, Va., died of natural causes at Wheatland Hills. She had recently celebrated her 94th birthday. Mary Ruth was the daughter of the late John Clifford and Winnie Whitlock Anderson.

May 31, 1925 ~ March 3, 2010 Selma Hill Hall, 84, of Pulaski, Va., passed away on Wednesday, March 3, 2010, at the Pulaski Health & Rehab Center, Pulaski. Born on May 31, 1925, in Pulaski, she was the daughter of the late Henry Lester Hill and Katherine Tipton Hill.

Patricia G. Jones, 65, of Christiansburg, Va., passed from this life into her new home on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at Roanoke Memorial Hospital with family by her side.

William Lee Lane, 81, of Pulaski, Va., died on Thursday, March 11, 2010, in Pulaski Community Hospital. He was born on November 1, 1928, in Pulaski County, and was the son of the late Nancy Southern Lane and Allen Thomas Lane.

Evelyn Weeks (Mimi) Oliver, 85, of Christiansburg, Va., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 9, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack G. Oliver; and her parents, Ira and Elizabeth Wayne Weeks.

Dr. Harry Jimmylyle Pence, Ph.D., 75, of Blacksburg, Va., died on Monday, March 8, 2010, at the Brian Center, Fincastle. He was born in Staunton, Va., on September 26, 1934, to the late Harry Rufus and Sylvia Elesta Wine Pence.

Ryley Irdinia Sheppard, six week old infant daughter of Carrington M. Linkous and Steven E. Sheppard, of Blacksburg, Va., went to play with the angels on Wednesday, March 10, 2010.

Tyler Cole Smith, 7, son of Wally and Missy Smith, of Blacksburg, Va., died on Tuesday, March 9, 2010, at UVA Medical Center. He was born in Boston, Mass., on October 16, 2002.

Dorothy Leache (Dottie) Talbott, 85, of Pulaski, Va., passed away on Thursday, March 4, 2010. Dottie was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Pulaski where she active in many areas especially the choir where she was an alto soloist.

Diana Sue Taylor, 57, of Dublin, Va., passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2010. Memorial service will be held 7 p.m. on Monday, March 15, 2010, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, Pulaski, Va.
