Rose Marie Lowe, age 60, of Blacksburg died, Friday, March 1, 2013, at the University of Virginia. She was born in Roanoke, VA on July 19, 1952. She was preceded in death by her father, Archie K. Allen, Jr. She is survived by her mother, Nadine Allen; daughters and sons-in-law, Bobbie Jo and Jerome (Bo) Standifur, Rebecca and John Stanley; sisters, Patricia Franklin, Nancy Weakley; grandchildren, Courtney and Jessica Lively, Brittany, Kayla and Ashley Stanley; niece, Kelly Weakley; nephew, Geoffrey Ryan Franklin; special friend, Ronnie Lowe. The family sends a special thanks to the Team of Doctors and Nurses at MICU of the University of Virginia. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 3, 2013 at 2:00 pm in the McCoy Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Gary McCoy officiating. Interment will follow in the Roselawn Memorial Gardens, Christiansburg. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the McCoy Funeral Home, Inc. The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm Saturday evening at the McCoy Funeral Home, 150 Country Club Drive, SW, Blacksburg.
