Fall is a critical time for collecting soil samples of your pastures & hayfields. Sampling now gives you time to determine your pH adjustment needs (mostly lime) before applying such products becomes problematic due to weather, and so these products have time to work before spring fertilization. Remember that soil testing of any land in agriculture production (hayfield, pasture or commercial crop production) is free. |
